The Rural Municipality of Rockwood is looking for proposals to upgrade one mile of earth road surface to a gravel surface. Organics must be stripped off the shoulders of the existing road and windrowed onto the side slope of the ditch to be used on the edge of the new road. The Material will be blended in and track compacted once the graving is completed. The existing earth road will be reclaimed, reshaped and compacted. Reclaiming will be done to a minimum depth of 150mm. The reshaping will start at a point approximately 140 meters south of Road 94N (PTH 17) and continue to Road 93N. Reshaping will be done to meet a 3% cross fall and a width wide enough to accommodate a 7.5-meter road top when finished gravelling. Proper compaction equipment and water will be used to meet compaction requirements. Gravel will be placed to a compacted depth of 150 mm.
