Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Strathmore, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
The Town of Strathmore operates and manages the amenities within the Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre. The Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre is a joint-use facility with George Freeman School, a school within the Golden Hills School Division. The Town is seeking proposals from qualified flooring installation companies (Contractor) to replace the current flooring installed on the Magnum Cementing Services Gymnasium, a multi-use 6400 sq. ft gymnasium. This gymnasium sees usage from various community sports organizations, school groups, as well as numerous drop-in and registered activity/program participants. Some of these activities include fitness classes, drop-in sports (basketball, volleyball, pickleball, floor hockey, badminton etc.) and youth programming. The Town intends to select a Contractor who employs qualified staff with demonstrated experience in gymnasium flooring removal and installation services. The desired flooring product is a multi-purpose, preferably seamless polyurethane (or similar), sport flooring that provides strength, durability, and performance for all levels of play and competition. The product needs to be easy to maintain and provide adequate resistance against wear. Must be received in writing (e-mail) prior to 2:00 PM (Mountain) on March 13, 2024
