Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Wellington, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This is a Design-Build project that will include the removal and replacement of Bridge #0227 on Bursley Road. All interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening to be held immediately following the deadline, in Room 555 (5th floor) of the Lorain County Administration Building. All materials and equipment must meet the specifications of the Ohio Department of Transportation and work performed shall be under the supervision of Lorain County Engineer. All contractors involved with this project will, to an extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in implementation of this project. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Any interpretation, correction or modification to the specifications desired shall be submitted via email to Shaun Duffala, P.E., P.S. at sduffala@lorain county.us and must be received at least four (4) working days prior to the date of bid opening. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so.
