The City of Richland Hills is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and construct various types of fencing and provide specific services at the Public Works Department Yard and numerous City Parks. The desired general specifications of the fence / services are as follows: Removal Remove current cinder block wall and fence (Approximately 1072 sqft) 268 ft X 4ft = 1072 Construct / Services Install approximately 344 ft of retaining wall 344 ft X 12 ft = 4128 sqft 8X8X16 cinder blocks 8X2X16 cinder block caps 2 ft deep base with 12-inch concrete footer 10 ft of wall exposed Reinforced with .5-inch 10 ft rebar All wall filled with concrete from base to top Wall to be built level from high grade to low grade Steps to be included to maintain level Install 25 ft X 8 ft double swing chain link gate with vinyl inserts Install 25 ft X 8 ft single sliding chain link gate with vinyl inserts Parks and Recreation Removal Remove and dispose of all existing fencing at all locations Construct / Services Kate Baker Park Install 170 ft of 4 ft wrought iron fencing on west side of park Install 130 ft of 6 ft cedar fencing on south side of park Creek Trail Park Install 140 ft of 6 ft cedar fencing on east side of park Taper to 36 inches from 120 ft to 123 ft and then only 36 inches from 123 ft to 140 ft Windmill Park Install 430 ft of 6 ft cedar fencing on all four (4) sides of park City Library Install 300 ft of 6 ft cedar fencing on south side of building Added Alternate The City of Richland Hills would also request that all bidders provide a separate added alternate bid for the following service(s): Public Works All materials, labor, and services to paint (match the existing Public Works Building) all portions of the cinder block retaining wall for the Public Works portion of the request All materials labor, and services to install R-Panel Gates instead of chain link gating with vinyl inserts for the Public Works portion of the request Question Deadline 03/19/2024 All questions related to requirements or processes of this RFB should be submitted in writing to Kip Dernovich, Director of Public Works, at kdernovich@richlandhills.com.
