Scope of Work: The selected architectural firm will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Conducting a thorough assessment of the current state of the Mason County Courthouse, including its structural integrity, safety features, accessibility, and compliance with building codes and regulations. 2. Collaborating with engineering consultants, preservation specialists, and other relevant stakeholders to develop a comprehensive renovation plan that addresses the identified needs and objectives. 3. Providing architectural design services for the renovation and modernization of the courthouse, including schematic design, design development, and construction documentation. 4. Incorporating sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies into the renovation plan, where feasible. 5. Overseeing the bidding process and assisting with the selection of contractors and subcontractors. 6. Providing construction administration services, including site visits, progress meetings, and coordination with the construction team to ensure adherence to the approved plans and specifications. 7. Facilitating communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders. 8. Ensuring that the renovation project is completed within the established budget and timeline, while maintaining high-quality standards and minimizing disruptions to courthouse operations. Proposal Submission Requirements: Interested architectural firms are requested to submit the following documents as part of their proposal: 1. Cover Letter: A brief introduction to the firm, highlighting its experience and qualifications for undertaking a project of this nature. 2. Firm Profile: An overview of the firm's history, organizational structure, key personnel, and relevant project experience, particularly in historic preservation and courthouse renovation projects. 3. Project Approach: A detailed description of the firm's approach to addressing the scope of work outlined above, including any innovative strategies or methodologies proposed. 4. Project Team: Resumes of key personnel who will be assigned to the project, highlighting their qualifications, experience, and roles. 5. Portfolio: Examples of past projects that demonstrate the firm's expertise in architectural design, renovation, and preservation, particularly those involving historic structures or government facilities. 6. References: Contact information for at least three client references who can speak to the firm's performance on similar projects. Proposal Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: 1. Experience and Qualifications of the Firm and Project Team 2. Quality and Feasibility of the Proposed Approach 3. Relevance of Past Experience and Portfolio 4. References and Client Satisfaction 5. Cost Competitiveness 6.
