The award of the contract will be made to the best and lowest bidder; however only those proposals (bids) from contractors that are determined to be qualified with experience in the construction of BAT and/or similar facilities will be considered. The work to be constructed is generally described as follows: The Project Consists of Constructing a Bat Solid Waste Landfill Including Liner, Leachate Collection, Removal and Forcemain and; Support Structures Such as Roadways, Drainage Ditches and Electrical Services. LOCATION: The location of the Work to be performed is at the Hancock County Solid Waste Landfill Facility, 3763 CR 140, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The Engineer s estimate is $2,211,566. Each bid shall be submitted on the bid form furnished as part of the Bidding Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by all documents and other items required by the Bidding Documents. Bidders should carefully review the Bidding Documents to determine what must accompany the bid. Any addenda or bulletins included in the Bidding Documents or issued prior to 72 hours before the bid opening shall be covered in the bid and shall be made a part of the Contract. The BAT cell is designed and must be constructed in accordance with the strict requirements of the Ohio EPA s Solid Waste Permit, and the Contract Documents. Bidders, by submitting their bid, acknowledge and agree to the terms of the Bidding Documents, including those provisions pertaining to the selection of the successful bidder (Contractor).
