CDBG -Village of Pleasantville Otte Park Concessions, Restroom Pavilion and the Public Pool Restroom Renovation Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the Fairfield County Commissioners or by certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Fairfield County Commissioners. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Goals for Minority 10 Goals for Female Participation Participation % 6.9% Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions. This contract is subject to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended 12 U.S.C. 1701u. Contractors should be aware of the regulations and reporting requirements associated with Section 3. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions. A payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price. A "payment bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. The project shall be substantially completed on or before January 17, 2025 and fully completed on or before February 16, 2024 ("Contract Time"). The contractor shall not commence construction until the date of commencement of work specified in a written "Notice to Proceed". No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Fairfield County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The Engineer's cost estimate with contingencies is two hundred twenty-seven thousand and two hundred dollars ($227,200.00). The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. Conditional bids will not be accepted.
