Along With Its Bid Proposal, Each Bidder Shall Submit An Unconditional Bid Bond Or Certified Check Made Payable To The County Treasurer Of Colfax County, Nebraska, In An Amount Equal To Five (5) Percent Of The Bid Proposal. Also, Each Bidder Is To Include An Estimated Time Of Beginning And Completion For The Projects With Its Bid Proposal. The Desired Completion Date Is November 1, 2024. The Successful Bidder (I.e. Contractor) Will Be Allowed Fifty (50) Calendar Days For Completion Of Each Site After Beginning Work At The Site, Provided They Do Not Exceed Their Specified Completion Date. Additional Days Due To Weather May Be Granted At The Discretion Of The Engineer. No Project Can Be Started Without The Intent To Complete That Site Without Delay From The Other Sites, Therefore, The Contractor Will Not Be Allowed To Start The Removals At A Site Unless They Have Committed A Crew To Complete The Work At That Site. Within Ten (10) Days Following The Award Of The Contract, The Successful Bidder Shall Furnish A Surety Bond Or Bonds In An Amount Equal To Or Greater Than The Full Amount Of The Contract. The Surety And Form Of The Bonds Are Subject To Acceptance By The Colfax County Board Of Commissioners. The Colfax County Board Of Commissioners Reserves The Right To Reject Any And All Bids Or To Waive Any Irregularities In Bids Received. Award Of The Contract Will Be In Accordance With The County Purchasing Act's Competitive Bidding Considerations As Set Forth In Neb.rev.stat. The Project Is Referred To As "colfax County 2024 Cbc's: C-19(567), C-19(568) & C-19(569)" And Shall Include All Labor, Materials, Transportation And Equipment Required For The Construction Of: C-19(567) - Triple 12' X 10' X 40' Concrete Box Culvert On A 0 Degree Skew; C-19(568) - Twin 9' X 12' X 40' Concrete Box Culvert On A 0 Degree Skew And C-19(569) - Triple 12' X 12' X 40' Concrete Box Culvert On A 0 Degree Skew, And Other Related Incidental Work. The Construction Of Three (3) Concrete Box Culverts, Roadway Grading And Other Related Incidental Work. The Project Sites Are Located As Follows: C-19(567) - On Road Y Between Road 7 And Road 8; C-19(568) - On Road Q, Between Road 18 And Road 19 And C-19(569) - On Road 10, Between N And Road O, All In Colfax County, Nebraska.
