A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to clean all sewer pipe as directed by the Owner and as specified herein. Cleaning shall include the proper high pressure water jetting, robotic cutters/grinders, and flushing of sewers and manholes. Cleaning shall dislodge, transport, and remove all sludge, protruding lateral pipes, mud, sand, gravel, rocks, bricks, grease, roots, sticks, and all other debris from the interior of the sewer pipe and manholes. B. The goals of the cleaning are to remove all debris, roots, deposits, and intruding taps, and other blockages for the purpose of CIPP lining. If the pipe condition is such that cleaning may cause a potential collapse, no attempt shall be made to clean the pipe without approval of the Owner/Engineer. C. All sewer lines requiring either heavy grease removal shall be cleaned to within 90/95% of the original inside pipe diameter of the existing sewer line being cleaned. D. Sandbags or filter bags shall be utilized downstream of sewer cleaning to prevent loose concrete, debris, and other sediment from being conveyed downstream. All Bids submitted shall include one original set of the Bid Documents. The Work is located in multiple locations around McCracken County, KY. The Work consists of the procurement and installation of all materials and equipment for the installation of approximately 13,500 linear feet of 8"-15" cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) sewer lining, along with CIPP service connections, sewer connection replacements, and service reinstatements, together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings. Bids will be received for a SINGLE prime Contract. Bids shall be on a UNIT PRICE BASIS as indicated on the Bid Form. The Contract Times for the Work are set forth in the Agreement. Potential contractors must purchase plans and be on the plan holders list at Lynn Imaging for the ability to Bid the project. Bids submitted by Bidders not on the list of Bidding Documents (Plan) Holders with Lynn Imaging will not be opened. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following location: o Paducah-McCracken Joint Sewer Agency - 621 Northview Street, Paducah, KY 42001 Bid security and proof of qualifications to perform the Work shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Paducah-McCracken Joint Sewer Agency reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. This project is being funded in part by the Kentucky Cleaner Water Program. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Public Law 88-352, 42 U.S.C. 2000d-1 et seq., and the Department's implementing regulations, 31 CFR part 22. Bidder must comply with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), Public Law 93-112, as amended by Public Law 93-516, 29 U.S.C. 794. Bidder must comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), 20 U.S.C. 1681 et seq., and the Department's implementing regulations 31 CFR part 28. Bidder must comply with Age Discrimination Act of 1975, Public Law 94-135, 42 U.S.C. 6101 et seq., and the Department implementing regulations at 31 CFR part 23.
