Metal roofing repair project - Regional Field Services Facility - Storage Unit 3 Roof Repair The Regional Field Service Facility (also known as 14th and Catlin) is home to the Forest Service Region 1 Historic Preservation Team. The Historic Preservation Team utilizes a 40'- wide section of Storage Unit 3 to store renovation equipment. This equipment consists of building materials, scaffolding, and tools necessary to the renovation team mission. Storage Unit 3 was built in the 1950s and the roofing system leaks and needs repair. The purpose of this project is to repair only the 40'-wide section of storage roofing assigned to the Historic Preservation Team. This work will include removal of the existing metal roofing panels, installation of new weather barrier underlayment, and reinstallation of existing metal roof panels with new screws. Full replacement of the entire existing roofing system is not part of this contract. Cleanup and dispose of all roofing waste down to raking, sweeping, and running a ground magnet in proximity of the building. The contractor must mark and block off all work areas with highly visible tape and cones to ensure the safety of employees working within the building or area during roof repairs. PROJECT LOCATION USDA Forest Service Regional Field Service Facility (also known as 14th and Catlin): 1615 S. Catlin St., Missoula, MT 59801 please read documents carefully and submit responses to wesley.dudley@usda.gov Less than $25,000. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS When work is being performed on-site for this contract, the prime contractor shall superintend the work with a competent superintendent to assure neatness, quality, and safety of the work times during the performance of work associated with this contract. The superintendent must be on-site daily, though not at all times. Submit the name of your superintendent in writing to the COR prior to commencing work. The Superintendent must be acceptable to the Contracting Officer. The contractor shall visit the job site to thoroughly familiarize themself with all the details of this work and working conditions. The contractor shall also verify all dimensions in the field and shall advise the CO and COR of any discrepancy before bidding the work. All OSHA safety regulations, including OSHA 1926 and OSHA 1910, shall be observed during the performance of work on this contract. The contractor shall provide signage and/or barricades as necessary to maintain a safe work site. It is the responsibility of the prime contractor to assure a safe work site, use of PPE, and control of sub-contractors. After Notice to Proceed, the contractor shall hold an on-site pre-construction conference with project stakeholders and the CO and/or their representative. This kick-off meeting will assure a mutual understanding of the contract, its execution, and aid coordination between parties. This meeting may coincide with the first day of planned work. The contractor's work shall be scheduled and coordinated so as not to interfere with the normal operations of the Regional Field Services Facility. The Contractor shall begin performance within 15 calendar days and complete it within 30 calendar days after receiving
