Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Maury, North Carolina. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of October 23, 2024, this project is in the design phase. Construction is expected to start towards the end of 2025. Solicitation #: SCO-SCO-DACEasternCI-Drainage+Paving (3-2024) (002) North Carolina Department of Adult Correction- Eastern Correctional Institution - Drainage and Paving Improvements The Department of Adult Correction invites experienced design firms to submit qualifications to provide design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout services for drainage and paving improvements for pathways, road, parking areas and flood mitigation at the Eastern Correctional Institution to include repaving of 115,300 SF of access & chase roads, 3,000 SF pathways, and 112,000 SF parking & recreational areas. This project will also include vehicular appurtenances like bollards, rumble strips, traffic controls, signage, and repair of drainage issues in the parking lot. Full design services are required and will include all submittal requirements for the State Construction Office for all submittal phases, Cost Estimates updated at each phase with each SCO submittal, with Technical Specifications edited with Masterworks in Masterspec 2006, bidding services, construction administration services, record drawings in both AutoCAD (latest version) and Revit, and project closeout as defined by the State Construction Manual (Twelfth Ed.) dated March of 2019. The Eastern Correctional Institution is located in Maury, NC. Total Project Budget $4,394,178 In selecting designers, the selection committee should take into consideration qualification information including such factors as: 1. Specialized or appropriate expertise in the type of project. 2. Past performance on similar projects. 3. Adequate staff and proposed design or consultant team for the project. 4. Current workload and State projects awarded. 5. Proposed design approach for the project including design team and consultants. 6. Recent experience with project costs and schedules. 7. Construction administration capabilities. 8. Proximity to and familiarity with the area where the project is located. 9. Record of successfully completed projects without major legal or technical problems. 10. Other factors which may be appropriate for the project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
