Description of Work: This is a prevailing wage project. Classrooms 203 and 204 at Orvis Building will receive new finishes, lighting and mechanical updates. The scope includes demolition and audio/video upgrades. UNR Project#: #22DRNV2299 / SPWD Project #24-B059 - Room 203 UNR Project#: #22DRNV2300 / SPWD Project #24-B058 - Room 204 Labor Commissioner #: WA-2024-252 Estimated Cost Range: $158,140 to $258,140 Liquidated Damages: $500/day Special Considerations: Construction noise in the renovated classrooms might affect other academic activities in the building. Construction work might be impacted by those activities. Project will require electrical shutdown that shall be approved by owner. Contractor should follow UNR's procedures and project guidelines to perform electrical shutdowns. General Contractor shall send inspection requests to SPWD separately for each project to obtain the certificate of final inspections for both classrooms. Required Insurance if Awarded: Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, Workers' Compensation, Builders Risk Insurance, and Contractors Pollution Liability Insurance will be required.
