The work area is located at Terminal 91, Pier 90 East (2001 W. Garfield St, Seattle, WA 98119). Pier 90 is located at the northern end of Elliot Bay at Terminal 91, northwest of downtown Seattle. Pier 90 east is primarily used for short-term and long-term moorage for commercial workboats and fishing vessels. The project location is under the ease edge of the C-173 building. At this location the pier consists of both timber and concrete structural components. The timber portion of the pier extends from the seawall to the east edge of the C-173 building and the concrete portion extend from the C-173 building to the face of the pier. Inspections in 2018 showed rot and fungal decay at the exposed ends areas of the pile caps extending beyond the first support pile. This project will replace these deteriorated sections and replace 19 of the current timber pile caps to prevent from further deterioration. Along with replacement of the deteriorated sections, the design will include flashing and other improvement measures to prevent further deterioration and extend the service life of the facility Question Deadline 04/02/2024 at 12:30 PM PT Allowed access space is limited and project approach is to be determined by Prime contractor per contract specifications. Small boom trucks or pier extendable forklifts located on the pier, at the north end of the work area, in the allowed access space per the contract, could be used to lower work skiffs, work floats, equipment, and materials needed to perform the Work.
