Project No. 23Z1AP7 The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, NC, intends to make an award to single responsible entity for the provision of Replacement of Generator Radiators at the Federal Correctional Complex located at 7799 Old Oxford Rd, Butner NC 27509. This project will be for Replacement of Generator Radiators at Federal Correctional Institute 2, Powerhouse, Butner, NC. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1) The contractor will perform work on generator #2 first, then generator #1. 2) The contractor will be responsible for the removal and replacement of the radiator. 3) The contractor will be responsible for all rigging and lifting equipment needed to remove the radiator from the generator. 4) The contractor will be responsible to install new jacket water heater hoses, new engine coolant thermostats with required seals and gaskets, new aftercooler thermostats with required seals and gaskets, new fuel cooler hoses, new fan belts, new alternator belt, new engine air filters. 5) The contractor will perform valve lash adjustment. 6) The contractor will run and test unit for proper operation. The FBOP will require the generators to be tested under load for 1 hour. The project shall comply with all appropriate State and Federal codes and regulations, including the latest editions of the International Building Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), Life Safety Code (NFPA101), applicable NFPA standards, and environmental regulations. It is not expected that hazardous materials will be encountered during performance of the Work. If suspected hazardous materials are encountered, do not disturb, and notify the Owner.
