Furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, supervision, permits, Insurance, transportation, etc. necessary to provide sealing and finishing to the specified School wall area inside the Patuxent Institution, located at 7555 Waterloo Road. Jessup, MD 20794. 1.7.2 Scope of Work: 1. Excavate approximately 275LF x 3FT x 6 Inch of existing topsoil and save for reinstallation after damp proofing. 2. Excavate an additional approximately 275 LF x 4 ft. deep to the existing foundation approximately 3 ft. wide to allow enough room for damp proofing work. 3. Removed existing failed damp proofing and apply approximately 1,375 Square feet of damp proofing approximately 1/8" thick from the top of the existing foundation to approximately six (6) inches above finish grade. Product to be W.R Meadows SealMastic Emulsion Damp proofing Types I,II and III or approved equal. Submittal required prior to installation. 4. Reinstall existing soil removed in Item 2 above and compact to approximately 95% compaction in maximum lifts of 18". Refilling the area in a single lift and compacting the top will not be accepted. 5. Reinstall existing top soil removed in #1 above and lightly compact, ensuring that there is a 1/4 inch per foot fall way from the building. Provide additional soil as required to facilitate this slope away from the building. 6. Route and seal each of the nine (9) windows on the bottom and two vertical sides. 9 each, (16'+4'+4') for a total of approximately 216 LF using a two part polyurethane caulk. Color to be selected by facility. Sikaflex 2c or approved equal. 7. Route and seal 75 parapet stone joints by removing approximately 1/2 depth of masonry and installing approximately 75 joints on three sides 6"+18"+6" = 2100LF using a two part polyurethane caulk. Sikaflex 2c or approved equal. 8. Apply grass seed and protective mat. Kentucky Blue Grass and Curlex Mat or approved equal. 9. Tuck point approximately 150LF of masonry joints by routing approximately 1/2 " deep and repointing using Type N Ready Mix Mortar or approved equal. 10. All materials to be submitted and approved by facility prior to installation 1.7.3 The contractor will be responsible for performing during normal working hours (normal working hours shall be an 8-hour day, Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM).
