The Project consists of concrete demolition, installation of ventilation equipment and construction of two new membrane clean in place (CIP) systems and replacement of a damaged backflow preventer enclosure. Work of the Project generally includes improvements to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. More specifically, the Work includes, but is not limited to, construction of the following: 1. MBR CIP Improvements Demolition of concrete as shown on the plans. Installation of new CIP System No. 1 and CIP System No. 2 as shown on the plans. Piping connections and tie ins as shown on the plans. 2. MBR Ventilation Improvements Demolition on existing concrete at locations shown on the plans as required to provide wall penetrations for new ventilation equipment. Installation of a new ventilation fan and intake piping as shown on the plans. 3. Backflow Preventer Improvements Demolition of existing valve cover/box. Installation of concrete pad and new valve cover box as shown on the plans. 4. Site improvements to support items above including yard piping, paving, grading, as shown on the plans. 5. Site electrical improvements to support items above as shown on the plans. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to TROPHY CLUB MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1. The successful bidder must furnish a performance, payment, and maintenance bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of TX to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
