Renovation of an educational facility in Porterville, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Work includes the removal and disposal of the existing MUA equipment, modification of the equipment curb to a finish elevation of +12" above the roof surface by means of wood framing or providing minimum 16GA properly supported metal curb positively attached to roof framing members with a wood nailer for roofing finish. Note: There should be a structural support member at each equipment mounting tab location within the curb framework. Provide oversized SM cap with secondary flashing for future roofing repair activities. Provide White Night coating to SM cap prior to setting equipment. Provide and install new Carrier Iaire dedicated outside air unit to include all electrical modifications, new heavy duty fused disconnect, new T-stat & interlock with existing kitchen hood exhaust fan & training as necessary. Completed DIR Information: Within 24 hours of the opening of the bids, the apparent low bidder shall submit completed DIR information on the Subcontractor List to the Porterville Unified School District at its offices located at 600 West Grand Avenue, Porterville, California 93257. State of California, providing for the licensing of contractors. In accordance with Section 3300 of said Code, the Contractor shall have a C-20, C-43 license and shall maintain that license in good standing through Project completion and all applicable warranty periods. Only contractors who are registered & approved with Quality Bidders as an approved Porterville Unified School District CUPCCAA bidder will be considered. TIME OF COMPLETION: The Work shall be completed within 60 calendar days from the date of the Owner's Notice to Proceed. BID SECURITY: Submit bid security with proposal, made payable to Owner, in amount of 10% of the Bid, in the form of certified check, bid bond, cashier's check or cash. Bid security will be retained until Agreement is signed and required bonds furnished. If any bidder refuses to sign the Agreement Form within 7 days after Award, the Owner will retain his bid security as liquidated damages. To enable compliance with California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.311, each contractor shall provide, prior to Contract Award The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any informality in any bid received and/or determine in its discretion the responsibility of any bidder, and which bid is most advantageous to the Owner. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 30 days after the date set for the opening thereof, or any authorized postponement thereof. The Owner reserves the right to take more than 30 days to make a decision regarding the rejection of bids or the award of the Contract. The successful bidder will be allowed to substitute securities or establish an escrow in lieu of retainage, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, and as described in the Agreement Between Owner and Contractor and General Conditions This project has an estimated budget of $120,000 to $175,000. 355 N. Extend existing curb framing height to +12" above existing roof deck by means of 16 GA sheet metal curb or wood framing as necessary. 4. Provide & install new oversized SM curb cap with secondary flashing with White Night coating prior to setting new equipment. 5. Provide & install new Carrier Iaire dedicated outside air unit to include all electrical modifications, new heavy duty fused disconnect, new t-stat & interlock with existing kitchen hood exhaust fan. 6. District to be responsible for roofing repairs
