SEALED BIDS for providing proposals to supply to the Department of Public Works, Highway Division; Aluminized Type 2 Metal Pipe and/or HDPE Drainage Pipe for culverts for a one year period from approximately April 2024 through March 31, 2024 with option to extend another year . Sealed Envelopes Should Be Clearly Marked "bid Proposal - Supplying to the Department of Public Works Aluminized Type 2 Metal Pipe and/or Hdpe Drainage Pipe" All bids will be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified check in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Such certified checks shall be returned upon award of contract and the filing of a Performance Bond by the successful bidder. Upon award of contract, the successful bidder will be required to file a Satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($ 2,500.00). The Dorchester County Council hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; bidders will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive formalities, informalities and technicalities therein, and to take whatever bid they determine to be in the best interest of the County considering the lowest or best bid, quality of goods and work, time of delivery or completion, responsibility of bidders being considered, previous experience of bidders, or any other factors they deem appropriate.
