Replacement of sump pump pit room door and to replace the existing drain pipe and insulate and heat trace the counterweight pit drainage line. 2. The Contractor shall furnish and install all material, equipment, and labor for the installation of the insulation and heat tracing for the sump pump drainage piping. Insulation and heat tracing shall run from the sump pump pit to the concrete encased section at the wall. a. The existing drainage line from the existing check valves up to the penetration through the concrete wall shall be replaced. All new piping shall be PVC schedule 80 unless otherwise approved. b. The drain line along the floor shall be supported utilizing 316 stainless steel pipe supports anchored to the floor with 316 stainless steel anchors. c. The heat trace and insulation shall not extend into the sump pump pit. d. The heat trace control cabinet shall be located outside of the counterweight room near the existing pump controller. The location for installation shall be submitted to VDOT for review and approval. 1. The Contractor shall furnish and install a replacement door and frame assembly to replace the existing door to the sump pump room at elevation -13.75' within the control house. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on March 7, 2024. All work on this project shall be complete within 180 days from Date of Award. The 180 day time period will commence when the formal award is made upon completion of VDOT Security Clearance activities. Bids will only be accepted from those bidders who are represented at this Pre bid conference. No one will be admitted after 10:05 AM EST. Furthermore, the contractor and subcontractors shall maintain the required license throughout the term of the contract.
