Renovation of an educational facility in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Godwin Hall Sprinkler, Exit and Emergency Lights, and Generators project at Mountain Empire Community College, Project Code No. 260-18279-002, located in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. The project is generally described as providing fire protection (wet) sprinkler systems throughout Godwin Hall. A new generator will be provided for Godwin & Holton Halls. In person hand delivery is supported on bid day at the stated location. Building is open during regular business hours. All visitors need to sign in at the virtual receptionist (iPad on the wall in the main lobby.) Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using fax number (804) 819-4762 and copying sroberts@vccs.edu. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2), and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of the bid amount.
