This project includes construction of a playground within Luther George Park in Springdale, Arkansas. Contract items include playground equipment and surfacing, walkways and landscaping and other miscellaneous items. Location- 300 Park St Springdale, AR 72764 Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. A State of Arkansas Contractor s License is not required to bid on the project; however, no contractor shall submit a bid prior to submitting an initial application (which does not require a full audit) for licensure, and no construction contract shall be executed until the successful bidder has furnished an appropriate license issued by the State of Arkansas Contractor s Licensing Board. The City of Springdale encourages all qualified small, minority and women business enterprises to bid on and receive contracts for goods, services, and construction. Also, General Contractors are required to solicit subcontracts from minority businesses, and women s business enterprises whenever they are potential sources. The City of Springdale reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, and postpone the award of any Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond one-hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date.
