Site work and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Replacement of Jane Street and Scarlett Road Bridges (ID091 and ID360). Project scope includes preliminary and detailed design, tendering, and construction, along with slope stabilization, channel improvements, roadway modifications, bikeway upgrades, utility relocations, and the restoration of public trails and park amenities. Both bridges will be widened during reconstruction to accommodate better cycling and public spaces for the community. At Jane Street, an 11-meter concrete arch culvert will be replaced with a 55-meter single-span bridge, complete with raised cycle tracks in both directions. Construction will be carried out sequentially, starting with the Jane Street bridge, followed by the Scarlett bridge. TIMELINE: A Request for Proposals (RFP) has recently been awarded. RFP included preliminary and detailed design, as well as the tendering and construction phases. Early designs are underway. Further update fall 2025.
