Design and construct a County owned pump station to serve the business and residences currently connected and interested in connecting to County sewer. The County currently has 15+ privately owned pump stations directly connected to the County force-main in the Flat Rock area. New private connections change the pressure within the Force Main creating a negative downstream impact on existing private pump stations that are designed to operate within specific pressure related parameters. Public pump stations are needed to serve as an intermediary between the individual sewer connection needs of business and residences as a proximal connection point receiving inflow through a gravity sewer line and serving as a single and consistent point of connection to the County's force main. The project is included in the County 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
