Renovation of an educational facility in Salina, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
a. Remove existing flooring and base throughout building as identified on drawings. Majority of new flooring is to be installed over the existing VCT flooring. b. Existing flooring type varies. Flooring types to be removed include broadloom (12' and 6') carpet; carpet tile; vinyl composition tile (VCT), rubber base, and rubber edge strip. c. In areas as indicated on drawings, existing VCT shall remain with new floor finish to be installed over existing tile. d. New flooring products for installation include LVT plank; carpet tile, walk-off carpet; rubber base. e. Preparation of existing subfloor to receive new floor finishes Completion date for the project is to be on or before July 25, 2024. The contractor shall be responsible for incidental general construction items as necessary for performance of the work and completion of the project. As a condition precedent to Contract Award, type of work completed, contractor's ability to complete work on schedule, contractor references, will be carefully considered. Owner is not obligated to accept lowest or any other bid. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities in the bids and/or process.
