The Contractor, on an as-needed basis, shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, materials and incidentals as necessary to perform Temporary Traffic Control Services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Contractor shall work with the Contract Administrators and Hampton Roads District to perform various traffic control layouts for planned / scheduled and unplanned / unscheduled work and other activities that may arise within the operations of the Hampton Roads District. Temporary Traffic Control Services will be as defined and shown in the VWAPM, or as directed by the VDOT Contract Administrator, or designee. Bid prices are based on daily operations and hourly increments for different types of "lane closures" operations listed. The initial term or period of the contract shall be for a two (2) year period with the effective date to be determined at time of award with three (3) one year renewal options. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Ms. Telicia Hailey, Procurement Officer at Telicia.Hailey@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions by 5:00 PM on March 27, 2024. VDOT reserves the right to request the Contractor to provide a Traffic Control Plan (Detour) for the described Detour event and/or VDOT may provide the Traffic Control Plan (Detour) to the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide VDOT with a quote for the developed detour plan and must be approved by VDOT prior to implementations.
