VDOT is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide labor, equipment, and materials to perform nonselective herbicide spraying along designated primary and secondary routes in the Northern Virginia District. Question Deadline 03/29/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Deanna Wayland at deanna.wayland@VDOT.virginia.gov. The contractor shall start the initial spraying work no later than June 1, 2024. The initial spraying of all scheduled routes shall be completed no later than 30 calendar days after work begins. All re-sprays shall be no later than 20 calendar days after the completion of the initial spraying. The contract period will be one (1) year, with the opportunity for two (2) optional, consecutive one-year renewals. Work shall be performed between June 1 and August 2 of each year and must be completed NO LATER THAN August 2 of each year.. The Commonwealth further reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigations of, such bidder fails to satisfy the Commonwealth that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to provide the services and/or furnish the goods contemplated therein. The purchasing office reserves the right to conduct any test it may deem advisable and to make all evaluations. The Commonwealth also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the procuring public body to be in its best interest.
