The Arlington County Water Pollution Control Bureau is soliciting Quick Quote bid responses to provide two 20 cubic yard (CY) containers for the purpose of hauling sludge (grit) from the Water Pollution Control Bureau (WPCB) to a remote facility. Located in south Arlington, the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) is a facility that treats 23 million gallons of wastewater each day from residences and businesses, with nearly 20 percent of the plant's flow coming from neighboring localities such as Alexandria, Fairfax and Falls Church. The plant's mission is to safely and economically process wastewater and hazardous waste materials to protect our environment, especially Four Mile Run, the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay All questions relating to this solicitation shall be submitted via e-mail to Alin Brasov, at abrasov@arlingtonva.us The County reserves the right to conduct any tests or inspections it may deem appropriate before acceptance.
