The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS), on behalf of Research Stations, is seeking a qualified Vendor to provide brand specific, Rainbow Pump Unit for Peanut Belt Research Station located in Lewiston Woodville, North Carolina. The Rainbow Pump is needed to direct water from water sources to fields that require irrigation. The requested brand specific equipment is necessary as the Rainbow Pump brand is currently being used in many of NCDA&CS Research Stations and standardization is an important factor in deciding on equipment purchases. The Research Stations Division maintains and supervises 18 research stations (twelve (12) owned by NCDA&CS, six (6) owned by NC State University). Research station personnel cooperate with scientists at land-grant universities to develop new agronomic products, improve livestock and poultry breeds, and develop better management practices. The intent of this solicitation is to award an Agency Specific Contract.
