The Project includes the following Work: Construction of a 23.30-acre soil final cover on a C&D Landfill Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the Bidder, Contractor's NC License number, the name of the project for which the bid is submitted and the date and time of opening. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Catawba County 25 Government Drive Newton, North Carolina 28658 Questions regarding the Scope of Work, bid process or bid documents must be delivered in writing to Bernie Garrett, via e-mail to bgarrett@garrett-moore.com, to be given consideration. Bidder should enter "IFB No. 24-1015 - Questions" as the subject for the email. Written questions must be received at least eight (8) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Appropriate responses, where required, will then be issued by addendum prior to the date scheduled for submittal of bids. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or original bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of Bidder's maximum bid amount made payable to Catawba County. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum, will be required to be furnished at the execution of the Contract Documents. All bidders are hereby notified that they must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their prospective trades. Bidders are also notified that applicable provisions of Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the Work. Catawba County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities as may be permitted by law.
