Renovation of a detention facility in Newton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,884-square-foot, two-story above grade detention facility.
The Work to be performed under this Contract generally includes the Kitchen Renovations / Level 1 Alterations for the Catawba County Detention Center and other incidentals as shown on the Drawings and noted in the Specifications included on the Drawings. The project is located at 100 Government Drive, Newton, North Carolina . Questions regarding the Scope of Work, bid process or bid documents must be delivered in writing to Tina M. Wright, via e-mail tinawright@catawbacountync.gov and, to be given consideration, must be received by June 3, 2024 at 5:00 PM. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum, will be required to be furnished at the execution of the Contract Documents. The undersigned shall pay the Owner the amount of Nine Hundred Dollars ($900.00) as liquidated damages reasonably estimated in advance to cover the losses to be incurred by the Owner should the Contractor fail to complete the Work within the time specified. The undersigned Bidder hereby agrees to fully complete all work, within Seventy (70) consecutive calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and/or all bids.
