Renovation of an educational facility in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a post-secondary education facility.
This project will replace roof Sections A-E and G-I at MacKay Hall. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, removal of the existing roof system including rigid insulation, flashings, sheet metal trim, skylight, and abandoned mechanical equipment. Install fully-adhered 90 mil EPDM roof system over 1/2 inch fiberglass mat faced gypsum board foam-adhered to rigid insulation over self-adhering vapor barrier over existing concrete deck. Other associated work includes, but is not limited to, concrete deck patching, wood blocking, pre-finished sheet metal copings, flashings and sealants; new roof ladders and walkway pads; brick tuckpointing, damaged brick replacement, stone repointing, sealant, and replacement of skylight assembly.
