***Apparent low bid from previous bid opening: Ludlow Construction Co. - $4,101,380 Reference Number 0000360138 The Town of West Springfield, through its Department of Public Works, is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for its Sanitary Sewer Expansion Project Phase II. Question Deadline 08/23/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online No. Any questions concerning this IFB must be sent in writing by Connor Knightly, cknightly@tows.org. Fifty percent (50%) work shall be completed by November 15, 2024. Work should be substantially completed by May 30th, 2025. A $500/day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the specified dates. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield The Town of West Springfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid if in its judgment the public interest will be best served by doing so. The contract shall be awarded by the Chief Procurement Officer, which reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in part or in whole, any and all proposals or to take whatever action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of West Springfield. Bids will remain firm for sixty (60) days following the opening of proposals.
