Reference Number 0000346222 The Town of West Springfield is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to furnish, transport and plant a variety of trees throughout West Springfield. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 30, Section 39M, inclusive as amended. Minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. Question Deadline 04/16/2024 at 4:00 PM ET General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Certified Payroll - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required All work shall be completed by December 31, 2024. A $500/day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the specified final completion date. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield. A Payment bond in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish workmen's compensation insurance and public liability insurance. *The contract shall be awarded by the Chief Procurement Officer, which reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in part or in whole, any and all proposals or to take whatever action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of West Springfield. Bids will remain firm for sixty (60) days following the opening of proposals.
