The Village of Rewey, Wisconsin will receive sealed bids for the following item as it relates to a street overlay improvement on Commerce Street from Reid Street to Harrison Street. 1. CONTRACT - Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Overlay - The project will consist of overlaying an existing asphaltic street, cleaning existing surfaces, tach coating, furnishing and installation of approximately 720 Sq. Yds. of 1-1/2" of HMA overlay (contractor to verify quantity), 1 manhole adjustment, 2 water valve adjustments, milling 4' of pavement for butt joints at intersections and driveways (or saw cutting and removal of 4'), compaction of HMA materials and miscellaneous items. The work area includes Commerce Street from Reid Street to Harrison Street. The mix design shall meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin DOT for a HMA mix design of 5 LT 58-28 S and bond coat of emulsified asphalt Type SS1h or equivalent applied at the rate of 0.05 gallons per square yard. FUNDING SOURCE: Portions of this project are funded through the Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) as a MSILT allocation project and is funded through the State of Wisconsin, Iowa County and the Village of Rewey. Bidders shall schedule a time to meet the Director of Public Works to view the project. Proposals are to be submitted to the Village in sealed envelopes on the Contractors standard proposal forms and should include unit prices and total prices. The Village of Rewey reserves the right to waive formalities in bidding and to reject any and all bids. No bid shall be withdrawn without the consent of the Owner for a period of forty-five days after the scheduled time of the bid opening. Contractor shall carry Public Liability Insurance and Workmen's Compensation Insurance that is satisfactory to the Owner.
