Renovation of an educational facility in Newark, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Estimate: $7,000 The Project consists of the following scope items: Furnish and install 3M Ultra S8 8mil film at glazing entry Furnish and install 3M Ultra S8 8mil film at lower windows ($25 / SF) The schedule for the work is noted below, which is subject to material procurement and review with Owner: Work Commencement: June 14, 2024 Substantial Completion: August 4, 2024 This process shall be conducted in accordance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-1 et. seq. Please note that the only opportunity for prospective bidders to access or photograph the site or enter the existing school will be at the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Bidders are cautioned to review all Instructions and Contract Documents with respect to scheduling requirements and obligations. The project will be bid and constructed as a Single Prime Lump Sum Contract with Add Alternate options to be added at Owner's discretion. Bidders must submit one Bid Bond in an amount equal to 10% of the proposed Contract Price for the work to be performed at 43 Alexander Street, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per N.J.S.A 18A:18A-24. Bid proposals for the above work will be received from bidders registered with the Division of Revenue and Department of Labor, and classified by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC"): General Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C006, C008 or C009, or; Electrical Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C047 Other Special Categories may be required and as set forth in the Request for Proposals. Bidders are cautioned that reliance on the mail delivery or courier service for timely delivery of proposals is at the bidder's risk, and any bid proposal received after the above date and time will be returned unopened. No Pre-Bid Conferences will be held. The proposed Second Barrier to Entry scope at each campus is limited to the entry vestibule area. As such, each vendor is authorized to visit the campuses at their own discretion with advance notice given to DBI Projects at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Advance notice shall be made out to the following: Mo Diop DBI Projects mad@dbiprojects.com It is imperative that DBI Projects is made aware of each visit by the above notification window prior to a vendor's arrival on school grounds. No unannounced visits will be permitted. The Owner must issue Addenda, at least seven (7) business days prior to the date scheduled for receipt of the Price Proposals/Schedules of Values, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, to clarify, interpret, correct or change the Contract Documents. In accordance with applicable law, the Owner shall provide copies of Addenda only to firms that purchased the Contract Documents. Failure to acknowledge the addenda and include such acknowledgement with the Price Proposal/Schedule of Values, may result in the rejection of the Price Proposal/Schedule of Values. If payment for the documents is not provided by the contractor and a bid proposal is submitted, the bid proposal will be returned unopened.
