The purpose of this announcement is solely to gather information from the marketplace, and any responses received will be used to inform potential acquisition strategies and to support a determination about whether or not to set-aside the acquisition. Any responses received will neither be considered an offer by the responding party nor returned to the responding party. No telephone inquiries will be accepted, and requests for solicitation packages will not be honored at this time since no solicitation has been prepared. PROJECT SUMMARY: Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is conducting market research for the purpose of identifying businesses that demonstrate the capability to provide Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Refrigeration System Maintenance and Repairs to maintain temperatures within the required operational bands, minimize refrigerant losses, and ensure that all refrigerants, oils, etc. will be handled in an environmentally sound manner in accordance with state and federal regulations while maintenance and repairs are conducted. Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute's (TSMRI) primary sources of heat are heat pump/chiller units, hereafter referred to as "heat pumps." There are two (2) walk-in coolers, three (3) walk-in freezers for sample storage, one (1) package air conditioning unit for cooling the server room, and two (2) conventional fuel oil boilers as backup heat. The contractor shall provide all equipment, personnel, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and incidental services necessary to perform preventive maintenance and repairs to maintain the systems within design parameters as prescribed in the manufacturer's maintenance manuals and technical bulletins and in keeping with good business practices A draft Statement of Work (SOW) is provided for informational purposes only. INFORMATION REQUESTED: NOAA may utilize the responses to this Sources Sought to conduct additional market research. Information obtained from this Sources Sought, and the subsequent communication with the vendors, if any, may be utilized to assist NOAA in developing a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ). Please include the following: Name and address of firm Point of contact - address and phone number Experiences that are applicable to the scope of the SOW. Indicate whether your company is likely to offer, should a solicitation arise from this market research. SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: Telephone responses are NOT solicited and will not be accepted. No solicitation exists at this time. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to award a contract, nor will the Government pay for the solicited information. Each response shall be no more than 10 PDF-pages (excluding the cover page). The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
