Site work and paving for a civil project in Juneau, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The site of the WORK is D Street between 2nd and 1st street and a portion of 1st street in Douglas, Alaska. The WORK covered in the Contract Documents generally includes: reconstruction of: D Street (from 2nd Street to 1st Street) and 1st Street (from D Street to near Dock Street). The WORK generally consists of: Replacement of underground water transmission and distribution pipe networks with new 10" and HDPE pipe, water services, and hydrants, installation of temporary water systems to maintain service to affected residents; Replacement of the existing sewer systems with new manholes, 12" & 8" PVC sewer pipe, and 6" PVC services with cleanouts, New underground storm drain system consisting of 12" and 18" CPP, storm drain manholes, catch basins, and underdrains. Excavation, grading and shaping of basecourse material, asphalt pavement, recycled asphalt pavement, concrete valley gutters, and miscellaneous other improvements necessary for a complete project. COMPLETION OF WORK. The WORK must be completed sixty (60) days from start of work or September 15, 2024, whichever is earliest. Engineer's Estimate Range: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid, payable to the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is provided as prescribed in Section 00100, Article 12, at the time of bid. All contractors are required to have a current Alaska Contractor's License, prior to submitting a Bid, and a current Alaska Business License prior to award.
