As of July 8, 2025, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Design & Contract Administration Services for 7 Mile Equipment and Vehicle Structure Shop. The Consultant shall provide all necessary professional Design Services to prepare complete, bid-ready construction drawings, specifications, bid schedule and engineer's estimate for construction. The design work shall include Architectural/Structural and limited Electrical Design as well as Bidding and Construction Administration and Inspection Services. The scope of construction work includes: Architectural/Structural design and limited Electrical design of a roof and three sided structure consisting of a pole or post frame construction on footings with or without a concrete floor slab for covering a quantity of thirteen (13) individual existing large equipment vehicles, including graders, excavators, and loaders, along with pick-up trucks that have snow-removal blades attached to the front of the vehicle and a sand spreader at the box (back) of the vehicle. SCOPE OF SERVICES: The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide Design and Contract Administration Services for the 7 Mile Shop Equipment and Vehicle Structure Cover project. The CBJ reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Proposals are to be prepared in such a way as to provide a straightforward, concise delineation of the Proposer's capabilities to satisfy the requirements of this RFP. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
