Reference Number 0000266500 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/04/02 05:00:00 PM EDT Pricing Lump sum This project aims to transition the existing constant air volume ventilation system within the animal research facility into a demand control ventilation system by incorporating an air quality monitoring system that complies with CCAC guidelines. Currently, the animal research facility operates with a constant air volume ventilation system, maintaining approximately 15-20 air changes per hour or higher in each zones/rooms. To improve energy conservation, the University of Waterloo aims to transition this system into a demand control ventilation system by incorporating an air quality monitoring system that complies with CCAC guidelines. The existing HVAC system features modulating air control valves on the supply and exhaust ducts serving each zone/room. Additionally, the central air handling unit (AHU SF-13) dedicated to serving the animal research facility is equipped with variable speed drives on its two (2) supply fans. The exhaust system is served by two (2) strobic exhaust fans (EF-23 & 24) located on the roof of the building. These exhaust fan are also equipped with variable speed drives. The overarching goal is to maximize the utilization of existing infrastructure and equipment for the implementation of the new demand control system. In general, the scope of work includes the supply, programming, and installation of an air quality monitoring system in the Animal Research Facility. Including the integration of the new air quality monitoring system into the existing building automation system (BAS). The scope extends to the startup and commissioning of all necessary control components, ultimately resulting in the provision of a fully operational turn-key demand control system compliant with the latest CCAC guidelines. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
