Mobilization - 1 LS, Vault Solar Array - 1 LS, Building D Solar Array - 1 LS. A bid bond, cashier's check, or a certified check made payable to the order of the Iowa City Airport Commission in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid must be deposited by each bidder with his bid as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to him, he will within fifteen (15) days thereafter, upon receipt of written notice of award, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. The City of Iowa City has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. It is the policy of the City of Iowa City to ensure that DBEs as defined in Part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT- assisted contracts. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for the project has been established at 2.0% The owner reserves the right to waive or not to waive any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is the lowest and best bid or combination of bids for the improvements.
