Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a clubhouse / community center in Blytheville, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; and for asbestos abatement for a clubhouse / community center.

The scope of work to be performed under this contract consists of, but shall not be limited to, if amended at the prebid conference or by later addenda properly processed and approved, the following defined work: a. Demolition of designated structures containing ACM. b. Abatement and disposal of ACM. c. Preparation of the site, as specified in these documents. d. The Contractor shall furnish all technical personnel, labor, materials, equipment and services required generally to perform and complete all work. e. Site clearance/removal shall include all unsafe or hazardous materials that might endanger the life or health of the general public. f. Should the Contractor encounter any interference from the public the Contractor should request assistance from the Project Manager. g. The Contractor is required to remove all identified ACM in full compliance with all federal, state and local laws. Westminster Village of the Mid-South will receive sealed bids from qualified companies for asbestos abatement and related building demolition at the Westminster Village of the Mid-South (WVMS) retirement community in Blytheville, Arkansas. The property has received a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfield Program to fund the abatement and demolition. Work will be paid for on a unit price basis. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Sealed bids received after this time will not be accepted. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the Westminster Village of the Mid-South in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. Bidders must be licensed abatement contractors qualified for doing business in the State of Arkansas. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
