It is understood that if the work is not completed within the time above specified or such extension thereof, as shall be granted in accordance with the General Conditions, the Contractor shall pay the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as liquidated damages and not as a penalty for non-completion of work, the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per day for each and every calendar day thereafter until the work shall be completed and accepted. Bidders for this project shall as of the bid opening date, be listed as Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) prequalified, as a Prime Contractor, in Category F, Bituminous Pavement, in accordance with the PennDOT's Specifications, Publication 408, Section 102, Subsection 102.01, dated 2020. The successful Bidder may be required to submit a copy of the PennDOT Prequalification Certificate. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
