Purchase and Installation of Industrial Washer and Dryers Tarrant County is soliciting bids for the purchase and installation of industrial size washers and dryers for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Laundry Center. Question Deadline: 3/29/2024 12:00 PM (CT). PHASE 1 1. Shutdown and drain cold water piping to washers and dryers, except where individual or banks of equipment may be isolated. 2. Install new isolation valves on cold water piping where indicated in drawings. 3. Refill entire cold water piping and verify operation of existing equipment. 4. Shutdown and drain hot water piping to washers, except where individual or banks of equipment may be isolated. 5. Install new isolation valves on hot water piping where indicated in drawings. 6. Refill entire hot water piping and verify operation of existing equipment. 7. Shutdown compressed air system to washers and dryers, except where individual or banks of equipment may be isolated. 8. Install new isolation valves on compressed air piping where indicated in drawings. 9. Restart compressed air system and verify operation of existing equipment. 10. Install parallel path natural gas piping and regulator on roof. 11.Install new 150kVA 208V/3PH delta - 480V/3PH Y transformer "THA" on the southwest exterior of the building. 12.Install new 200A / 480V / 3PH panelboard 'HA" located at near THA location at southwest exterior. HA fed from THA. 13. Install prewired feed from existing electrical bus disconnect to THA primary, feed from bus disconnect to remain disconnected until Phase 2. 14.Install feeds to future locations of each piece of equipment to be installed during Phase 2 from panel HA. PHASE 2 1. Isolate cold water piping at isolation valves installed under Phase 1. Demolish existing piping from valve to existing equipment. 2. Isolate hot water piping at isolation valves installed under Phase 1. Demolish existing piping from valve to existing equipment. 3. Isolate compressed air piping at isolation valves installed under Phase 1. Demolish existing piping from valve to existing equipment. 4. Isolate natural gas piping at existing isolation valves on roof upstream of existing gas regulator. Demolish existing regulator and piping from valve to existing equipment. 5. Demolish existing exhaust and intake vent ductwork from dryers to location shown on drawings. 6. Demolish existing washers and dryers. 7. Install new washers and dryers. 8. Install new cold water piping from isolation valves, installed under Phase 1, to new equipment. 9. Install new hot water piping from isolation valves, installed under Phase 1, to new equipment. 10. Install new compressed air piping from isolation valves, installed under Phase 1, to new equipment. 11. Install new natural gas piping from isolation valves, installed under Phase 1, to new equipment. 12. Install new natural gas piping from new regulator to existing isolation valve. 13. Install new exhaust and intake vent ductwork from dryers to existing vent ductwork shown on drawings. 14.Turn off breaker from main switchgear powering existing electrical bus disconnect. 15. Abandon existing electrical bus and disconnects in place. 16. Demolish feeds from bus disconnects to existing equipment in addition to any other associated electrical equipment related to demolished equipment. 17. Provide disconnect to power each new piece of equipment connected to prewired feed from #4 above. 18. Connect primary feed for THA to existing electrical bus disconnect. Relabel bus disconnect to "Transformer THA Disconnect" 19. Open all isolation valves, energize all electrical services, and verify operation of new equipment.
