Site work and paving for a road / highway in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The total estimated project cost for this project is $560,900. Lower Paxton Township (Township) secured grant funding through two PennDOT grant programs (ARLE and Green Light Go) for upgrades to the traffic signals at Colonial Road and its intersections with King George Drive, Valley Road and Crums Mill Road/Devonshire Road. Attached Exhibit 1 shows the locations of these intersections and the scope of work planned as part of this project. This project is referred to herein as the "Colonial Road Project". Lower Paxton is hereby accepting proposals from engineering firms for Transportation Engineer. The scope of these projects will include but is not limited to: traffic studies, roadway and signalized intersection design, bridge design, permitting and bid preparation, general municipal engineering tasks, right-of-way acquisition support, construction management, construction inspection. The Colonial Road Project will be the first assignment for the selected Transportation Engineer. The scope of the Colonial Road Project is demonstrated on the map in Exhibit 1. In addition to providing the design, permitting, and construction phase services for this project, the selected consultant will be required to ensure that the project is being undertaken in accordance with the applicable grant agreements. The total estimated project cost for this project is $560,900. The grant agreement for the Green Light Go Grant contains the following milestones: Completion of Construction- May 15, 2026 Submission of Final Invoice to PennDOT- May 31, 2026 Agreement Expiration Date- June 30, 2026 Questions and Clarifications: No interpretation or clarification of the meaning of any part of this request for proposals will be made orally to any firm or individual.
