Bonding Requirements - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 100 % - Surety Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, as security for the acceptance of the contract. A Bid Bond in the Michigan standard form issued by an approved surety company may be furnished. The City reserves the right to reject in or in part any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both as it is determined to be in the best interests of the City of Livonia to do so. Installation of Cedar Shake Roof shall include, but not limited to: 1. Tear off existing roofing materials and provide dumpster to clear from site. 2. Replace all rotted lumber. 3. Ensure the sheathing is in good condition and appropriate for region/climate and shakes are being installed. 4. Install 6 feet of high-performance ice and water shield to all eave locations. 5. Install high performance GAF breathable deck armor underlayment. 6. Install #30 weight split roll roofing felt underlayment, interlace method. 7. Install new Kynar coated aluminum drip edge at all eave and rake locations. 8. Install new Kynar coated aluminum w crimp valley sections. 9. Reuse counter flashings around base of chimneys if possible. If it is not reusable, replace it with Kynar coated aluminum. 10. Step flashing shall have a 4" horizontal width and 3" vertical width and be properly caulked. 11. Inspect chimneys and make any repairs necessary to prevent water infiltration. 12. Install a new concealed ridge vent system as needed. 13. Install #1 grade blue label western red cedar hand split shakes (3/8") using stainless steel 14. Install #1 grade blue label western red cedar preformed hip and ridge caps. 15. Any additional repairs to prevent water infiltration into the building.
