Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Crossroads, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and fire / police facility.

*As of March 26, 2025, this project has been under construction since April of last yera 2024, and is expected to be completed sometime later this year. The Offeror will add a 7.5% Owner's Contingency Allowance on a separate line item on the Proposal form and only the Owner will approve the use of this allowance during construction. Any Allowance remaining at the end of construction will be retained by the City of Aubrey. This Allowance is not to be included in the Base Proposal and will not be used in the Best Value selection process. The offers will be valid for ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) calendar days. Estimated construction cost is approximately $6,500,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. PROPOSAL SECURITY: Cashier's check or an acceptable Offeror's bond payable to the City of Aubrey, in an amount of five (5) per cent of the Proposal submitted (See paragraph 1 above). The Proposal Security must accompany the Proposal and is subject to forfeit in the event the successful Offeror fails to execute the contract documents within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded. The Proposal Security shall be included in the envelope containing the Proposal. Failure to submit the Proposal Security will result in the Proposal not being considered for this project. Offeror's bond will be returned if the City fails to award the contract within 90 calendar days of receipt of proposals, unless the Offeror agrees to an extension. The surety must be licensed to do business in the state of Texas. PAYMENT BOND AND PERFORMANCE BOND: For projects in excess of $25,000, the successful Offeror entering into a contract for the work will be required to give the City surety in a sum equal to the amount of the contract awarded. The form of the bond shall be as herein provided and the surety shall be acceptable to the City. All bonds furnished hereunder shall meet the requirements of Texas Government Code Section 2253, as amended. The last day for questions from prospective Offerors is at 5:00 PM on Monday, April 8, 2024 The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or any combination thereof proposed for the above work.
