Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Reno, Nevada. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The Project is located on Arlington Avenue between Island Avenue and West First Street. The bridges provide the only vehicular transportation link to the 3-acre Wingfield Park island. The north bridge (B-1532) was constructed in 1921, and subsequently modified in 1939, 1967, and 1998. The south bridge (B-1531) was constructed in 1939. The bridges are structurally deficient and need to be replaced. The Project will address the deteriorating condition of the bridge structures; improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, and drivers on Arlington Avenue in the area of Wingfield Park; and provide sufficient hydraulic capacity for the Truckee River during flood events. It is anticipated that the NTP for the construction phase would be issued in Spring of 2025, with construction substantially complete by June 2026. This timeframe allows for procurement of materials, receipt of necessary permits, and in-river construction between July 2nd and October 31st, 2025. It is anticipated that subcontractor bids will be due by early June 2024. Scope of work for this Prequalification: Landscaping and Irrigation, Reinforcing Steel, Electrical, Dewatering Systems, Shoring, Fencing & Railing, and Bridge Demolition Contractors may submit qualification forms for one or more of the above areas of construction that are included in this project and are proposed to be completed by subcontractors.
