The scope of this Solicitation is for janitorial/housekeeping services for municipal facilities throughout the city. The Work specified in this section consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, services, and all other necessary incidentals required to perform the Janitorial/Housekeeping Services described herein. The Successful Proposer must have adequate organization, facilities, equipment, and qualified and trained personnel to insure prompt and efficient service to the City. The term of the Contract resulting from this Solicitation shall commence upon execution by both parties and shall be in effect for a period of two years, at the rates offered by the Successful Proposer. The City shall have the option to renew for three (3) additional one-year periods, unless otherwise terminated by the City as provided herein. The option to renew will be at the sole discretion of the City. The City reserves the right to utilize any or all information, ideas, conceptions, or portions of any Proposal when determined to be in the City's best interest. Acceptance or rejection of any Proposal shall not nullify the City's rights hereunder. Deadline for Clarification Questions Tuesday, March 26, 2024 Requests for additional information, explanation, clarification, or interpretation must be made in writing to the Procurement Office at the address identified above, pursuant to Sections 1-4 and 1-5 above by the due date for requests for clarification, specified in the solicitation timetable. The request shall contain the requester's name, address, and telephone number. The City's Procurement Office may issue a response to any inquiry if it deems necessary, by written amendment in the form of an addendum to the Solicitation, which shall be issued prior to the Solicitation Due Date and Time. The Proposer shall not rely on any representation, statement, or explanation other than those made in this Solicitation document or in any amendments/addenda issued. Event Bid notes: Proposers must submit one (1) unbound one-sided original proposal, neatly typed on one side only with normal margins and spacing, and 2 bounded copies of the original proposal, by the due date and time specified in the solicitation. A USB must also be submitted with an electronic version of the complete bid. All proposals must be submitted on 8 1/2 -inch by 11-inch paper, neatly typed with one-inch margins and single-line spacing. Submitting A Proposal Is Solely And Strictly The Responsibility Of The Proposer. The City Is Not Responsible For Delays Caused By Any Mail, Package Or Courier Service, Or Caused By Any Other Occurrence. Any Proposal Received After The Due Date And Time Stated In The Solicitation Timetable In This Request For Proposals Will Not Be Opened And Will Not Be Considered. The Proposal Must Be Signed By An Authorized Officer Of The Proposer Who Is Legally Authorized To Enter Into A Contractual Relationship In The Name Of The Proposer. The Submittal Of A Proposal By A Proposer Will Be Considered By The City As Constituting An Offer By The Proposer To Perform The Required Services And/or Provide The Required Goods At The Price Stated By The Proposer.
