The Project includes the replacement/construction of approximately 1,350 L.F. of 10-inch and smaller diameter waterline, 1 fire hydrants and associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. The Project is funded by the Town of Rural Retreat. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to The Lane Group, Inc. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. If a contract is for one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) or more, the bidder is required under Title 54, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class A Contractor." Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
