Bridge File No. 71273, Leith River, Township Road 830, SW 4-83-01-W6M, 4300 mm Diameter SPCSP Culvert by 47.55 m Invert Length, Bridge Culvert Installation and Other Work. Work shall include the supply and installation of a new bridge culvert over Leith River, located 23 km NE of Fairview, Alberta (SW 4-83-1-W6M). The Contractor shall install a 4.3 m diameter SPCSP culvert by 47.55 m invert length as per the Drawings and Section 18 of the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The culvert will be located on 45-degree Right Hand Forward (RHF) skew to the local road, centred at Station 5+577.000. The Contractor is advised the original crossing structure has already been demolished and removed from site; however, the County has placed a portable oilfield bridge over the crossing to keep the road operational. The Scope of the Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Traffic accommodation Site isolation, turbidity monitoring, and fish capture and release Excavation, including geotextile filter fabric Supply and assembly of culvert materials Backfill, including backfill material testing Concrete end treatment, including testing and small bridge plaque Heavy rock riprap erosion protection Roadway work, including reconstruction of the road at the original crossing location Guardrail including Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors approved crash-worthy energy absorbing end treatments and delineator guide posts Permanent environmental protection devices Award is subject to final approval.
